(Junior) Database Administrator | Complex Systems | MySQL, MariaDB | Salary up to €4.500,- p./m

This young and international company creates high-traffic platforms worldwide, and these applications have millions of unique visitors every day. Large amounts of data traffic, storage, and processing power are what we deal with daily. We aim to have the servers as close as possible to the end-users. We have servers running on almost every continent. They offer high-traffic web hosting and other IT services for our sister companies. Besides its existing platforms, the organization is also ready for the next phase as they want to enter other (sub)markets. This brings additional challenges in terms of technology and infrastructure.

Note: We do not provide Visa sponsorship, and only applicants who are already living in The Netherlands are eligible to apply. Relocation is not an option.

You will be part of the Infra team and working closely with the Development and the Data team. The Infra team consists of several specialists in their domain. There are also oncoming projects on the roadmap to be working on, such as building a new Datawarehouse, mass email processes optimizing, and standardizing server maintenance.

Your all-around activities will be:

• General database administration and management

• Troubleshooting of synchronization and performances

• Update and patch management

• Improving the database monitoring solution

• Standardizing of processes and systems.

• Experiences with MySQL/MariaDB database administration;

• Security minded and able to work precisely;

• Capable of drafting excellent and detailed documentation about the systems and processes;

• Experiences with scripting such as SQL, Bash, Python, etc;

• Experience with hosting web applications (NGINX, PHP etc.) is a plus;

• Basic knowledge of Ubuntu , Debian, CentOS etc.;

• Basic knowledge of monitoring tools such as Percona is a plus.
